Report 2024

The ATLAS Latin America Chapter has kept on welcoming new members in the last year. Nowadays, there are 10 institutions from 5 different countries. The key event of the year is the 5th ATLAS Latin America Conference, hosted by the Autonomous University of Guerrero in Taxco, Mexico. The conference is proposed to reflect and present multidisciplinary alternative solutions to generate safe environments and social welfare, considering approaches from the economic, political, sociological, environmental and sustainable fields, taking into account the urban and rural territorial scale, emphasizing social inclusion, to ensure the enjoyment of tourist destinations that promote an experience of peace and wellbeing. It will be held on 23-25 October 2024 and with 8 different tracks it is expected to strengthen the collaboration and exchange between tourism related institutions in Latin America.
