ATLAS ONLINE Members’ Meeting
The online ATLAS Members’ Meeting will take place on November 6th at 12:00 pm CET. During this meeting members will be invited to vote on the new ATLAS Membership Fee Structure per 2027, as was proposed by the ATLAS Board during their meeting at the ATLAS Annual Conference in Leeds earlier this year. The increase in fee across the different categories is necessary to be able to cover the costs of running the assocation and to make sure the association stays financially healthy. The last increase took place in 2022 when membership fees based on GDP per capita/country was introduced.
All members that subscribed to the ATLAS members’ mailing list (jiscmail) will receive an invitation to join online closer to the date of the meeting.
All contact persons of the ATLAS member institions will receive the link to the online voting.
Presentation by ATLAS Thesis Prize Winners
We are very pleased and proud that during the ATLAS members’ meeting also three of the ATLAS Thesis Prize Winners will each give a 10 minute presentation on their research. The winner of the first prize of the Master thesis Jolien Giovinazzo (Breda University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands) will tell us more about her research concerning the diving industry at Curacao. The second prize winner of the Master thesis Paula Fischbacher (Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands) will explain her investigation about the emergent phenomenon of social-media-induced food tourism through a qualitative case study of three TikTok-viral food locations in Amsterdam. The second prize winner of the Bachelor theses Shweta Dhanaji Desai (Amity University, India) will explain her research on how heritage storytelling must evolve to remain relevant to Generation Z audiences.
We hope that many of our members will tune in for these highly interesting presentations from these young and promising researchers.
